Who has changed their weatherstriping?

I am getting ready to put all new weatherstriping on the car after it gets out of the paint booth. How do you remove the old weatherstriping from the roof rails on a non t top car? It seems to be just glued into the channel. Do I just rip the old out?

The strips are in those channels and can be pulled out if you are patient and have a small scraper. Chances are you'll need to remove some traces of the material afterwards but the holders unbolt from the body too and can be stripped and detailed before attaching your new strips.
P.S. - If you have the new weatherstripping already why didn't you remove the old ones before painting?

Still preping the car for pant. They will be removed before it goes into the booth. BTW, all interior is out as are the ground effects lights etc. IT will be a bare shell when it goes in.

Good to hear, it's the only way to do it IMHO...
