Rotary A/C switch panels
Has anyone tried swapping their A/C panel to a rotary-**** type? I've seen a number of later GM cars like Grand Prixs that use rotary controls and would like to swap my sliders out and put something like those in it. I'm guessing the connections to the vacuum manifold would be the biggest hurdle if they are different.

ive been wanting to do this for the longest time. i havent been able to find much on it tho. believe me ive searched these boards up and down for it. anyway ive looked into swapping in later 4th gen hvac controls. it could work but you would have to modify the radio hvac trim plate on the car and prolly the hvac controls themselves. youd also have to find one without rear defrost as the button for that is on the hvac controls. im not sure about the vacuum lines they might be the same they might not ive never really found any good info on those. im sure other gm ones would work. keep me posted o nyour progress with this cause it is defiantly somethin i wanna do.

A camaro trim plate would be easier to modify to look right.
The 4thgen is too big to fit.
I used a lumina panel, 4thgen vacuum selector and 4thgen hot/cold selector. I had to make an adapter plate to mount the hot/cold. The lumina uses a servo-motor instead of a cable.
As far as mounting, I had to trim out some of the original controls mount then got creative with making the brackets. Still waiting to find another trim piece to modify so I don't f--- this one up...
