sunvisors, floppy loose outer end,
visors in good shape are not supposed ot have floppy loose end right ?
IE: the end of the visor that mounts to ceiling*
does this mean theyre broken ?
and ill ask same Q in another way:
arent they supposed to be stiff on both ends ?
is this repairable ?
and lemme guess, theyre made of cardboard crap also right ?
thanks

Remove the 3 screws that hold it up.There is a spring on the visor support that keeps tension. It may have broken? Some visors have a screw holding the spring down, some use a rivet. The visor is made of peg board type material, but thicker & denser.

no, no, im talking about inside them, broken, im not talking about the spring assembly or anything
i got tired of waiting and i tore them apart, the cheap crap theyre made of is whats broken
they are made of a hardboard wrapped with a layer of thick cardboard paper, the cardboard papr wrap is whats busted, theres no support,
what a cheap bunch of crap
i kept the hardboards and the spring assemblies and tossed the cardboard crap,
but its pointless, cuz theres really no way to make new oens and be able to sew new cloth on
so im gonna look through cars and find some other visors from a 60s or 70s car that will fit and are made of the better old stuff that never break
some black or blue vinyl ones
these third gen ones are just trash
all of them
thanks

OK, but I hope you don't have a t-top car. The t-top cars are specific. They have a curved sunvisor that I don't think any other cars have!
