1991/1992 Camaro Fog Light & Defroster Switch Locations

1991/1992 CAMARO FOG LIGHT & DEFROSTER SWITCH LOCATIONS:

My 1992 convertible has neither the foglight switch or defroster switch on my dash.

I am going to add foglights to my car, and have a stock factory switch to install. I do not have a "filler trim plate" that the foglight switch installs into and that in turn installs on the dash. I have an opportunity to get the defroster "filler trim plate". I was wondering if the foglight switch (I am sure it will) will work in it......
and where the "stock location" for the defroster switch is on the dash and where in relation to the foglight switch.

Hopefully this makes sense.

If you have a photo or something with a closeup of either or both switches, I would really, really appreciate it!

Thanks,

Steve

My car is in storage and that was why I asked. So never mind, I figured it out myself.

I found some gauge clusters on eBay and see that the defroster switch is lower right hand and foglight switch is lower left hand.

Any reason why they wouldn't work swapped?

Anyone have a foglight or defroster trim plate from 91 or 92 that they want to sell?

Never Mind Part Deux

I bought the defroster cover from eBay. My foglight switch will go on the right hand side (defroster location) instead of the stock location (left side).

Left side is too crowded, and since my car is a convertible and never driven in the winter, who needs a defroster?

Thanks for all the help.

Thanks For The Pic....

The Firebird dash layout is quite a bit different from that of the Camaro. Since mine did not have the foglight switch or defroster switch and has no need of a hatch "pop" switch (it IS a convertible, after all), I just needed some visual references.

Not as many 3rd gens up here in the boonies of Maine.

Have a happy Easter!

That's Okay &

Don't sweat the small stuff!

I never get tired of car pics anyway. I am almost 44 years old, and still have not outgrown this love affair with cars.

It must be a sickness.

My 92 Firebird also has no switch for the rear window defroster. Can't open the pic from F-bodyFanatic. The dash photo's I've found on line look nothing like mine. Any tips?
