Mismatched Carpet/Interior....
Hey does anyone here have a mismatched interior? I.e, black carpet and grey panels, etc?
My cars interior is mainly grey, but of course there's some black. My last car had black interior and I liked it so much more. I'm thinking I may just get black carpet for now, as the carpet really should be replaced. Would it look funny with black carpet, and then grey panels and headliner? I'd get black seatcovers, and most likely keep the back seats out as well...

Kind of amazes me how good an all gray interior looks when new, but how fast it ages. Mix it with some black and the contrast does make it look better I think.

Had to put my 2 cents in on this one. When I decided to replace my ragged cloth seat covers, I struggled with the decision of which color to go with (grey or black). The advice I was given by the place I got the seatcovers (and carpet) was to go with black, since it was doubtful that the color match-up (I have a grey int) would not be exact. Long story short, I got the black and never looked back. Really wish I could have done two-tone seats (grey AND black), but again, the color match...

Are those covers or are they installed? Does that question make sense?
Yes, they are replacement covers that I got from a company called www.abcautocarpetandupholstery.com (I also got my new carpet from them). I saved a bunch of $$ over somewhere like Classic Industries or Year One and the best news is that they use the same supplier, so quality didn't suffer! But to answer your question, I had to take the stock cloth seat covers off, do some repairs to the foam (driver's bolster) and do the whole hog-ring thing (PITA!). But as you might be able to tell, I probably should have gotten new seat foam for the bottom of the front seats since is is not entirely form-fitting in the center. Oh well, a project to do someday...

Very nice indeed. I am a bit worried about having to deal with the foam and the hog rings. When it comes down to it, I would probably have someone do it and just pay for the labor. What did those cost you if I can ask?
