Anythings possible, right?

Ok, i started to rip out my carpet today, only to come to a hault when i realized the center console lays over the middle carpet. I was reading how to remove the console but i saw that i would have to remove the cd/player and life support switches. I really, really do not want to remove the cd player at all!!! Would it be possible to lift up on the console just enough to lay the new carpet in without having to remove the cd player?

the radio is easy to remove- 4 screws and a wireharness and antenna and its out- then the hvac head just has to be unscrewed and set in there- then unbolt the console and itll be out- its easier than it seems.

it's way easier then you think, and its the same getting it back in, took me 30 minutes to get my carpet completely out. but yes you HAVE to remove the radio and center console.
