remove inner fender wells?

is it possible to remove the front inner fender wells?
ive been thinking about doing this for a long time
adds a nice look
helps with alot of clearance issues

the cars going to be a weekend warrior

but ive noticed the strut mounts up at the top
can it be done or does the strut actualy rely on this thin peice of metal for support?

That thin metal is actually the ONLY support for the struts

thats a shame
to think thats all that is keeping my front end from doing whatever it wants

ive seen a f body with this done at a car show but i never thought to look at how they did it
they must have custom fabricated a tubed steel shell or something

if anyone has a picture of this i could look at please dotn hesitate i would love to do this
sure would make changing spark plugs easier too lol

it looks great the way it is
not to mention i would trust that steal tubing more than i would the sheet metal holding up fbody's now
that is a more structuraly sound design than gm's
im on a mission now
