Once you remove the trim panel from the shifter and behind the radio you will have access to all the screws holding the radio in place.
The part of the radio that is "on a stick" is only mounted by a few 7mm screws at the base of the unit. once the screws are removed you need to use a screwdriver to move the retaining clip out of the way and then you can pull that part of the radio out.
(You know how the radio rotates one "click" at a time ??? that "click" is caused by the retainer clip ) You should have no problem seeing it.
When the top half of the radio is out of the way you need to remove the 2 7mm screws holding the reciever (silver box) bracket & the 10mm nut at the front of the unit. Then that part of the radio can be removed.
I hope that helps !!!
