Dying the carpet. What is the best way?

Well when I had my car repainted some dust settled onto the carpet and will not come out fully with cleaning. The carpet is only a couple years old and I do not wanna spend another 300 to replace it. How can I dye it so that it will look new again? Thanks fellas
its black btw

Ive used Duplicolor spray dye before and as long as your careful you can blend it pretty nicely. If your carpet is black or grey it makes it easier too.

Auto Zone and Advanced both carry the Duplicolor Vinyl and Fabric Color. It's pretty good stuff!
