Corvette C4 and C5 seats / Aftermarket headliner

Will corvette seats C4 / C5 vintage bolt into a third gen without modification? What modification will be required if any?

Also, on these aftermarket headliners that are ready to install. Can someone post some photos of these in stalled? Also, what do they look like on the inside or unfinished side? I don't want to look down at some ugly material at the perimeter of the T-top opening when the T-tops are out, so can some of you please comment on the fit and finish and the brand you installed?

Thanks All,

Scott

No, I don't think the seats bolt in directly. There as an article about it in Car Craft or Camaro Performers a few months back...

Also, Corvette seats may not be a good idea if you plan to carry passengers in the back. Since the Corvette is a two-seater, the seats probably do not lean forward. Just something to think about.. good luck.

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it and had not thought about the seats going forward...who carries passengers in these cars anyway?

lol i agree

The only modification is the same as any aftermarket seats, you have to either find a way to bolt the seats stationary into one place on the floor, or find a way to attach the tracks from the original seats to the vet seats, its not very hard to do from what i gather, but i have no idea how its done.

I modified APC racing seats to fit in my car with the stock thirdgen brackets, and the APC seats weren't designed for anything even close to a thirdgen. It may take some time, but I know it can be done. I haven't seen this mod very much, so go for it! It'll make your car stand out.

that article in camaro performers was installing c4 seats in a 2nd gen camaro. i don't believe 2nd and 3rd gen seats share the same bolt pattern. as far as the corvette seats folding forward, they do. i don't believe they recline, but you can fold them forward.

C4 seats will indeed allow rear seat access. They fold forward just as far as the standard seats will. I had a set of them in my Formula for a while and replaced them with 4th gen leather seats. This pair of seats is available for sale with tracks installed if interested.

So just why did you trade from corvette to 4th gen seats. I would think the vette seats would be better...

Well I'm 6'6" and 260 lbs and even though the vette seats were good they just didn't fit me too well. Plus I caught a good deal on a full set of leather seats as well.
