Took my 15 year old son to the Junkyard for the first time today. We are working on getting a nose cone for the repairs of his '91 Firebird that we got for $600. We came across the notch back on accident and decided that the notch back was more rare than a '91 nose piece. I thought they might rape me at the checkout counter, but they charged me as an '86 glass hatch.

That's not factory, and I bet they knew that. That's why it was cheap, I'm assuming you know that too.

....or then I'm just "that" guy who has to ruin the fun

sorry

factory or not we know what they charge....$$$

should look good on a 92 firebird

honestly, don't think i've seen many 91-92 birds in this area at the yards, i can think of one in particular cause the gfx stood out, but for the most part, it's early model T/As along with the 82-84 birds that plague the yards, plague because no one ever buys anything off them, they just sit and rot...kinda sux.

No junkyards around here even have a semblance of these cars left, let alone anything to pick out.

I've gotten a trunk strut, and a replacement rim for my car... That is IT. And there is plenty of stuff I could use...

We need to clean it up a little and do some adjustments to it. I know that they were never stock equipment and were aftermarket add ons like the station wagon tops that I have also seen. I'll admit that it isn't that great looking, but it does make the car a little different than everyone else's.

Wow, factory notchback?

I was unable to find any company logo or markings so far. Just had time to clean it up a little and install it on the '86 T/A. Work is eating up a lot of car time. As for the window, it is permanent install with a window ring on the inside and the window is plexiglass.

I'll add some pics tomorrow.

I wish the picture of the instructions was a little more clear. That is the one that I picked up also. Made by Cars and Concepts. I will try to email the eBay seller and see if I can get a copy of the instructions before he ships. For the factory notchback what was the build code?

Jim.
