so i put the 82 back together today.. i have a question though,

yeah i put the nose sheetmetal all back onto the 82 t/a today- the bumper and cover, fenders, hood latch apron support, headlight assemblies and hood, well actually just stuck it all back on with minimal hardware just enough to hold it all together and on the body tub

its been since last fall that i removed all this and there are two skinny thin triangle sheetmetal brace pieces that are kinda big, i forgot where and how they go in the nose

i think they are to support either the headlamp assemblies, or the fender nose floor panels ?

i forgot...

stamping numbers on them are
10022407

one looks liek it has battery acid corrosion rust on it like it was mounted under the battery tray area ?

maybe they are the front bottom(of the fenders) braces ?

thanks for anything

The rear of the fender has a lip/tab that sticks down perpendicular (sp?) to the ground and bolts to an according tab on the car (13mm bolt). There is also a tab that stick out from the car with a U-nut on it parallel to the ground clost to the other bolt. A 0mm body bolt goes there.

The front brace screws to the frame rail and then run out to the front half of the fender. There should be two u-nuts on the brace. It goes on the backside of the fender and two 10mm body bolts go through the fender and snug the brace to the backside of the fender.
