hatch louvers

what do they look like on 3rd gens? Anybody got pics? What years were they offered? How hard would i be to put them on a non louver car? Does everybody on this site think they look ugly?

Not everyone but I know I think they are ugly. I got the set from my car sitting in storage. I will never put them back on.....

where to purchase?

Where can I get a set? Aren't there two types? Plastic & aluminum & 1 or 3 piece? I had a set on my 2gen camero but that was years ago. I liked them because they kept the sun off my speakers.

These pics are from the day I brought her home. I assumed they were aftermarket, I think it said 'Phantom'. I took em off shortly after, tho at least they kinda matched the grill and the hood louvers. The glass itself was a little discolored I guess from being on there so long. I replaced the hatch glass wik one from a '91 later on.

those aftermarket ones are ugly..... i really like the ones on the black car...i wonder how they would look on a red car

I just got some recently. I personally think they look pretty cool, but more so on early 3rd gens. I'm in the process of refinishing them right now. I'll try to post some pics when I get them done.

the only thing is that they could look totally different on a firebird than on a camaro

i love them. i'm looking a set for my GTA right now, or either gonna tint it to 2.5%. I like the original like on the black car, not the kind on the red car tho.
