screws cracking when removing door piece

Axle/Gears: Tru-Track posi/Moser axles/4.10
screws cracking when removing door piece

the little torx screws are breaking when i try to unscrew them out of the platic piece where the door handle, power locks and mirrors are. how do i remove them and where can i get replacement ones?

better be careful, some of those torx screws are just for looks and actually molded plastic. Make sure you find and unscrew the real ones (they are metal) ... maybe someone can shime in with a picture and some arrows which ones are actually real torx screws as I can't remember at the moment.

wahahaha...thats so funny, i "stripped" all the plastic torx scews when i took of my door panel...i was so pissed. Its kinda hard to tell which are plastic and which are metal

the first 2 on the door handle peice, and the first 2 on the power lock button peice (or the empty plate if you dont have)
the other 12 are fake
maybe if you have the cable operated mirror, a couple of those might be real too

Yup...The rear 2 on the cable mirror plate. The blank plate with manual locks just snaps into the hole, no screws in it, just pull it out to get at the screw hidden underneath it.

hmmm....you could strip the fake ones completley and make it all nice and round so that you can tell which are real and which are fake
