residue in cracks after paintjob

residue in cracks after paintjob
First off.. i know nothing about painting cars.. not my forte'
but i recently had a paintjob done.. and after i can it back, in all the cracks and seams (for example, inbetween the ground effects and door) its a white residue. This stuff is a beeeotch to remove - almost impossible. Is this normal? Is there a good hint/strategy to remove this? Thanks
