Bad Fitment of ABS T-top Headliner....Anyone Else?

I got my ABS headliner last week from one of the board sponsors and I have to say I am very disappointed with it's fitment. I have a t-top car and on all of the inside edges there are large, unsightly gaps. I tried shifting it around but when I fix one side the opposite looks bad...and the medium looks bad all around.

Has anyone else had this problem?

yes i have the same problem with mine. bought the abs headliner from ebay. itwas brand new and when i got it it comes shipped rolled up. so after i let it lay out in the sun it took its form and it looked really decent until i put it in. looks like crap. i hated it so much that i deceird to go to a custom interior shop here and have them install it. it looks a little bit better but once the tops are off forget it. big gaps in the conners of the ttop bar.

i just put one in her car, it's a black one non t top
fit was really good
but it sorta gapped in the center by the rear view mirror
so i took a black screw, and screwed it up there

the driver side seat belt cover didn't fit the greatest, screwed that in too, but cracked the plastic

i HATE interior work
especially with the crappy quality of the stock pieces and clips they used on these cars

ohhhh wellllll

I bought ABS headliner from Hawks and couldn't be more pleased with the fitment. Its like a work of art.

Here are some pics from when I got it first installed... 12/03

I also would like to know the vendor names that have the fitment problems as this is on my interior list to replace in the future. With Sonar_un posting a good fitting one from Hawks, sounds like it could be vendor specific?

Sonar_un, got any pics from above with the t-tops off? That sounds like the area with the problems the others are having.

Those with fitment problems, got any pics to post?

Hate to contradict the other poster, but my bad fitting one is from Hawks also.

Your pics from the inside look good but it's the top side that looks bad on mine. Got any pics of that?

I'm going to let mine sit for a week or so in the car and see if it takes shape any better....if not I'll give them a call.

Yeah it's hard to tell from that pic.
I spoke with Hawks yesterday and they told me to send them some pics so I'm going to get it in as best as possible and snap a few to send over their way.

just to clean things up mine came from a1auto. it looks really nice until the tops are off. from the same pic view that sonar_un posted with the top off you wont be able to tell on mine until you are right on top of it. theres a gap in the corners

I inspected mine closely today (After a year of having it installed, hell, a year and a half). It looks ok to me, I don't notice any huge gaps or anything. Talk to Bruce at hawks, he will help you out.

they arent big gaps by any means but you can tell that they are there when the tops are off. its about the size of a dime or so.
