The motors about done in my car, and Im lookin for some interior nick-knacks. Seats are a big thing for me, mine are ripped all to hell. I found some APC seats on summit for about $150/piece. I just dont like that damn logo right in the middle of it. Im just curious what kinds of seats you guys use, whether ir be stock, racing, aftermarket, whatever. Im wonderin what will look best. Im goin with a dark silver/gray/black kind of interior, so more than likely Ill use black seats.

 

try to find used 4th gen seats. They look sweet.

Sparco and Corbeau seats are cool but a little pricey.

I like the corvette c5 seats with the hole in the headrests.

Actually, those are stock GTA 3rd gen seats. The GTA seats are very similar to fourthgen firebird seats.

 

I have some of the APC seats... I hate the logo, but they look good and they're really comfortable.

 

Currently using OTTO R seats. They look great (no pics yet) and really hold you in. Kind of tight in the a$$ area though. $300 shipped from Ebay.

 

it's a shame apc does that, their carbon fiber versions are a little nicer. great seats for the money. i had corbeau trs in leather. nice seat for the price at $500 a piece leather but a bit too stiff. i have recaro sportlines now which are great. very comfortable but a bit more pricey. here are the old corbeaus.

those are pretty much what i have, can't tell if that's jersey or suede. i have the suede/leather option and love them. the abs construction is so much nicer then the other options i've had like the corbeaus. great looking seat and really feel comfortable. the only thing nicer i've sat in are the cobra misanos but at $1,400 a seat and a 4 month waiting period i couldn't justify it, they are truly one of a kind though...

 

here is a set of sparco seats.. these are nice too, especially if you can find a deal. the only reason i didn't go with them over the recaro seats were the metal web construction for the seating versus the abs/foam with recaro. also the sparcos are a little tighter in the waist area. while adjustable even at their max they can be uncomfortable for long drives.

 

here is another more affordable reclining version from recaro. similar to the corbeau trs this seat offers nicer cloth material and a better frame construction. the problems i found with some of the seats from corbeau and sparco were how their cloth material optioned seats often easily faded or stretched over short periods of time. i can't find a thirdgen picture but you'll get the idea.

you can find these base around $450 a seat with track and slider.

^^^^^???? How can you run shoulder straps on a stock 4th gen seat???? Over the headrest?

 

I don't have pics yet, but I have 2007 Mustang seats going in my convert. They are all set, but I took them out to paint the car. Maybe next week I can post some pics.
