Anyone made their own headliner?
Im starting to put my interior back together, and the headliner is still an issue. Apparently at one point the T-Tops were leaking (I cant find evidence that they still are), and kinda warped the backing board and just looked nasty. So I tossed it thinking I can make my own. Someone was tellin me to get headliner material (fabric with padding) and just put it over the metal. Im not running rear seats, so I dont need the rear cutouts for the seatbelts. Nor am I running visors or dome light (for now, might reinstall later). Anyone got any ideas on if I can do it without having the backing board to go by or to mount to?

well you shouldve kept the backing board and stripped it and repaired it so you had something to put the new material on
I feel safe in saying its going to look like sh*t glueing it right to the ceiling
sounds like time for a trip to junkyard, or $100+ on a new headliner

"countours" meaning making the proper shapes, waves and such with making a new backing board.

You can't just put fabric up there, you need a backing board or it won't look right.
If you can't lay fiberglass to make a sturdier headliner using the stock headliner as a template becuase of the "countours" then you need to buy a new headliner.
