Ive had the same thing on my 2nd camaro and it bugged me a lot. I didnt get it fixed because i sold the car (not because of that)
I did however do some research and noticed that if your car has t-tops and the floor is pretty much rusted out in that area, chances are they are also rusted in other places.
There are aftermarket floorboard peices you can buy, or you can go to a junkyard and have them cut a peice.
You can have a shop do it and i believe everything can be done less than $1000
Use the SEARCH bar at the top and that will generate MANY results.
also !!CAPS!!

I just finished sandblasting the underside of my camaro and while it isn't anywhere near as bad as what you are describing, there is a few rust small holes and few more pin holes.
I've read about my options and what it would take to replace floor boards. Here's few tips:
1) Cutting out the old floor pan is not that difficult, but putting new one in and doing it right may not be that easy. On a unibody, sheet metal is part of the structure so without the floor pan, there will be more flex and you have to make sure when you weld the new one in, nothing gets shifted.
2) If you find a shop to do it. Remember that you always get what you pay for. Looking for the cheapest shop may not be the best idea here. I'd ask around and ony go to guys that have reputation of caring about their work and taking the time to do things right. Since time is money, expect to may a little higher than in other places
3) Turn off CAPS LOCK. Most people find it annoying to read and about 75% of people who saw this post didn't even finish reading it and moved on because of that.
Yes this is an unwritten rule of the internet. If you can't see small letters, make the font bigger

Cut your loses and move on. There are still plenty of rust free cars out there. Don't sink your hard earned $$ into a pit.
