I have a leak on the top passenger side of the hatch area, its a steady dribble when I'm in the car wash or heavy rain.
I just installed a full weather stripping kit from SoffSeal. Today, after driving in the rain for a few minutes, I felt around and it was wet where the headliner meets that long plastic panel on the passenger side of the car... just like it was before I replaced the rubber. BTW I have a coupe.
Anyone know of where it could be leaking from???
I remember hearing something about a faulty weld from the factory, but I'm not sure where to look.

I am having the same problem. I havent really messed with it yet but I think I am going to try to get the weatherstripping to move closer to the hatch glass and see if getting as tighter seal will do the trick.

All this rain we've had lately has brought the same problem to light for me. I knew in steady rain my t tops can drip a couple of drops. I was suprised to find water in the driver's side compartment in the trunk and a good amount of water in the low part of the trunk. My weather stripping is mint I have no idea what is the cause. It seems like it is coming from between the body and the interior plastic.
i know on MY car the decklid (the piece with the wing and latch) does not seal to the galss, this ends up droping water right on the interior rear quarter pannels. (bit that covers spare tire and the bit with the glovebox). i no longer leak at the weatherstripping.

It could be a rust hole somewhere. Did you see any rust holes when you replaced the weatherstrips?
I had a rust hole behind the strip on my T-top, I thought it was the strip but when I sanded all the rust down, bondo, it didnt leak anymore.

If the T-top seal is not good between the seal an d the BODY of the car it will run down the T-top board to the rear plastic trim piece and then drip on the rear seats...
A little Black RTV silicone and masking tape fixed mine.
