I just got a new rear view mirror off ebay because I wanted one with lights (bloody convertible has no dome lights!)
Question: the harness has 3 wires, black, white and orange. I'm assuming black and white is pos. & neg. , but what is the orange? - door trigger? if so, where do I attach it to?

 

I figured it out...trial and error is pretty easy with only 3 wires!
