4th gen seatbelt ?

I did search so blah! but anyways im wondering if anyone has used the seatbelt ancor thingy that connects down at the bottom of the console? the 3rd gen one differs from the 4th gen because there is not a bend in it because the 3rd gen one mounts to the transmission hump. but im wondering anyone has used it and what they did to make it look good, and if you had a picture it would be even better.

I have 4th gen belts in my car. I got them off of ebay not knowing if they would fit or not. They were only about $40 and look much cleaner than the originals.

wow "82firebird" thats about how the inside of my 86 looks now there is also a driveshaft ws6 wheel radiator and few other odds and ends. well anyway i was wondering if they would work too because mine are all bused up except for the rear. my driver side female conector has no more plastic left on it except the lil red buton and the passenger side is being help together w/ electrical tape. i wanted to get newer ones for when i get my blak interior put in because my old stuff is reb and fadded anyway

i gave the issue of how the 4th gen reciever mounts to the third gen floor and i had/have a maybe solution.
being they are as long as they are and if the third gen belt slips properly thru the plastic sleeve you could use the old belt in the 4th gen sleeve.
to make it work cut the foot like part off of the 4th gen sleeve and match its length to the third gen sleeve/ reciver and round the bottom off like the third gen sleeve is.
when you make the holes this will keep the sleeve from slipping down as its bolted in place by the torx bolt and the holes are cut similar to the third gen sleeves.
i figure the sleeve is so slim nobody will ever notice the sleeve was modded.
this is just an idea and i wanna test it eventually to see how it actually looks.

well looking at it i was thinking of just cuting a slit in the 4th gen plastic foot way at the bottom where its bent, allowing the plastic to straighten out when the seats holdling it up and it wont cause a crimp in the plastic. that might be alittle confusing but ill try to get a picture of what i mean.

I bolted my 4th gen seat belts right in place. Sure they had a bend but they fit perfectly in place as a whole unit.
