New Hood
I want to replace the heavy hood on my '90 IROC with a fiberglass piece. The problem is I want one that looks totaly stock, I dont particularly like any of the aftermarket hood I've seen. Does anyone know were I could find a stock looking fiberglass IROC hood? I really appreciate any help, cause I think I've looked everywhere.

from what i understand 82/83 Z28s could be had with a fiberglass hood, which looked just like the metal hood that was also avaliable, i have one of these fiberglass hoods, id trade it for the later metal IROC hood if someone wanted it.

I have a harwood aftermarket fiberglass hood that is just like stock. Too bad your not in the Austin area since its for sale.
Noone makes a Fiberglass version of the Iroc Style Hood yet. Kandied91z has said he has one in the works, possibly available next year sometime.
The 82/83 Fiberglass Z hood will require some tweaking to make it fit later model Camaros if I remember correctly. There is some extra material near the latch area that needs to be cut out.

My ASCD SS hood, is a little high on the right, and has a little extra fiberglass crap that I'm gonna have to sand off, but I love the way it looks so I dont care.
Ever compaired the weight of stock to fiberglass, huge difference

I just put a harwood 4" cowl hood on my 1988 camaro.. IMO way too tall unless you need the clearance, but I just wanted to say that this harwood is a nice hood. They make smaller cowls as well
I was in the market for a hood, bought a ram air II hood, didnt fit worth a crap so I sent it back. Was thinking about getting a harwood, then ran across an '86 SC with a knocking swapped in 350 engine and this harwood hood. $550 so I snagged it up being the hood along new would be $545 shipped.
This one is probbly 8 to 10 years old and still in great cond.. Fits pretty good, after adjusting the hood for about 2 hours I got it fitting very close to stock. The sides, back, etc fits great, front of hood has a small gap between nose and bottom of hood but nothing that big, or bad looking.
The weight savings wasnt all that great though, but every bit helps.
My stock steel hood with hinges, front latch, and spring weighed 67 lbs
This harwood glass hood with the same hinges and all on it weighs 51 lbs
