Ooooh I wish I knew who it was, I totally forget. BUT there is a board member that has a Notchback.

On an original factory notchback the rear window is tempered glass with an integral heater element wire. From what I understand the rear window on these aftermarket notchbacks is acrylic. In both cases the back window is fixed. I have an original notchback hatch that I plan to install on my Firebird Formula. I'm toying with the idea of making it removeable as in the Chevrolet Avalanche.

I plan on making mine detachable too! I have to pull it off to fix a water leak anyway, so I figured I would try it. I probably won't get to it until the spring, but I will post picks when I get it done. If anyone else does it first, let me know.

Re: hawks notchback ???
I bought one from Hawks, excellent craftmanship! The new notchback is about 45 pounds and yes the glass is actually acrylic which is even lighter than actual glass. It is fixed by a rubber seal and the acrylic may need some very minor work on some edges to get it fit right. The rear original latch did need some work since in my case I needed to rotate it 180 degrees of the original position and make new holes on the steel original pull down bracket that is reused to make it work right. I also needed to exchange the gas lifts with a friend of mine since the ones that I had where to "new" for the more lighter notchbatch and when it opened it tend to do it to hard, my friend's gas lifts where older and provided a better more controlable lift. From 1 to 10 I give it a 9. From all the cutting and chopping and deleting that I have done to my car to make it lighter this was the most rewarding and in my opinion is way better looking than the original glass.
For a picture of the notchback please see the thread "Finally" on the power adder forum, since the site wont let me upload the picture again for you to see.
PS: The hatch does not include the aero spoiler that you see in the picture
