Will a 82-86 trans am steering wheel work on my 91 firebird that originaly had a steering wheel with an airbag?

It *will* work. Its a direct swap. I have a friend with a '85 Firebird steering wheel on his '91 Trans Am. Just remove the air bag idiot light bulb from the gage cluster.
Yes, I put a 87 Firebird 3 spoke steering wheel in my 90 Formula which originally had an airbag.
and as far as the 2 horn wires go, yes there are, but the split off of 1 wire so can be cut down on the single part and wired as normal.

you can do it. its easy but um be care full with your air bag a 3volt refrance will set it off and thats not pretty so once again be carefull
