Well heck, Vern, if you're going to put it that way, then I'll have to go back and make it perfect! Once it isn't a land of frozen icicles here, I'll fiddle around and see what I can do.

That's what I was hoping you'd say! That is one sweet interior you set up. Didn't I help you with the window switches? Hmmm... so I had a very small part in it - it looks GREAT!

So, you gonna do the accents like AdmAnt13 did?

You definitely helped me out, Vern, and I hope to be able to return the favor one day. Thanks for the kind words about my interior. It's nothing too out of the ordinary, but it is very clean and original...except the the above-mentioned hideous floormats!

Not sure about accents. I am planning on painting the gray plastics black...e-brak handle, radio pod etc. I don't have spray equipment, so spray-bombs will have to do.

You think? Is it glossier or something? I picked krylon because of its guaranteed adhesion to plastic. But I'll look for SEM paint and compare, thanx.

I'll take pictures of my GTA seats and post them tomorrow.

Hawks. Get that ABS one, VERY nice. i ordered mine on Sun night and had it on Wed.

LOVE the silver accents on the interior, very nice touch.
Yeah, that is what I will probably wind up doing since my headliner just started to come down now. (cheap GM adhesive)

Thanks for all the compliments guys. I'm nowhere near done. Along with painting everything, and the headliner, I am gonna have the same company who did my door panels re-cover my sail panels with red flames as well.
I'll keep everyone updated.

i can't get the ashtray to go in all the way. Its hitting the rubber thing on the linkage cable. Anyone have problems with that? I'm probably going to end up cutting an inch of that off or something or putting a plate over it.

I think I took my ashtray out before fitting in the console because I was using it for my window switches so it might hit stuff, but I didnt have that problem.

Oh and to answer someones question before about the front right part being pushed up and not sitting flush, I know why.

The frontpart of the console that gets pushed under the radio pod actually gets angled down more than its supposed to. Sowhen you try to put in the upper portion of the console in, it wont bend with the same angle. Mine isnt hitting anything, it just wont stay in the bent position.

Really hard to explain without like a movie to show you guys with.
Hopefully you understand though..

Are you talking about the ashtray, or the storage pocket at the top left corner of the console? Like where I have my power mirror switch located in the pics above?

Adam, I'm pretty sure that on my top plate, it is hitting that metal shifter component to the right of the shifter shaft, as described to Vern above.

Ok, at least during my install, there is no way to install that piece intact without modifying that cable that you are referring to hitting.

I had actually trimmed about an inch off the rear to open up the back since my mirror switch wiring needed to be run through there. But I found that even more had to be cut off to clear that cable.

So, your options are to either modify the linkage/grommet, or modify the storage compartment.

Oh ok. Well I actually cut some of that metal with a cut off wheel. Yeah I know, not safe, but no problems yet! I will post a picture of the cut tomrrow if I get a chance to pull the shifter boot off.

Gotcha. If you look at my install, I just put a peice of plexi over that hole rather than using the ash tray (I dont smoke ). So that alleviated that problem.

A pic would be cool, Adam. I should double check mine, just to make sure what I am saying is accurate (the mind can play memory tricks, even at 29!)

And for the record, that front compartment isn't an ashtray! If you put hot ashes in there, you'd have melted plastic! I think it is for keeping sunglasses and the like.

So Bull,
When do you want to come out here, and install mine?
I'm sure I have something you would want as trade!
Nice job!

George
