New Paint!!

I just got my car back from maaco! It turned out alot better then what I expected! I need a new front bumper and rear bumper ( scratches) and I now see a new dent under the gas cap but Im gonna see if a cheap dent puller will work... New paint pics! the car is real dirty right now and it being winter in NJ its cold and dark so I will have better pics when I get home from school tom.

Matt

For all of you that go to maaco of garwood NJ they did an exceptional job but make sure you go over EVERY LITTLE detail and dont rush it ( go there at least one our before they close)

yeh minor flaws it would have been alot better If I was more specific.. like the rear bumper is my biggest mistake ill have pics of that tom. it has like part of a sticker and a few scratches and my half a$@ bondo job that I never finished showing.. its mostly the plastic parts that were messed up

most of the painters at maaco are good painters.. They are just not getting payed enuff to do a good job.... Or to care about your car... Looks like u lucked out. I know the maaco by me is really bad.

people associate maaco with bad paint jobs a lot. it is not because of what they look like at first...its because of how long they look like that. hate to take away some of your hope.

by the way, what color is that, i like it a lot. good luck with it.

I can't speak for all Maaco's but the one I took my car too did a VERY good job. The only problem is, if you don't pay for their greatest quality, the job is only going to last 2 years tops.

The one I took mine to also did a very good job. Prep work is everything, and since the car was dirty when I took it to them, I failed to show them everything I wanted taken care of. They did an excellent job on what I did tell them to do. It does have minor imperfections, but for a daily driver, it looks good.

ive had 2 cars that were painted by maico one had overspray on the exhaust tips and the tag light. Also they didnt spell chrysler right they forgot a letter on one door they spelled crysler so they had to repaint it and that door was a different shade from the rest. Other than the paint looked good. My firebird was also painted there the guy that owned it before me had it done and he said within 2 weeks the rear spoiler was cracking and chipping. Also there was some surface rust they painted over. There are also quite a few fish eyes in the paint. Other than that my car still doesnt look to bad for a over 10 year old maico job.

i agree my pick up was painted from macco about 8 years ago and still looks good once you clean it up. the only thing that ruined that is the scratches from off-roading

My car was painted in 4 days! did a sweet job but like some one mentioned you have to go over EVERYTHING or else if they even see some thing that you didnt talk about they wont fix it or even let you know its their..I think Im gonna go in to get some things taken care of and then have them put a few more coats of clear on!

That paint looks pretty good! I was considering Maaco due to my car being a daily driver. How much did the paint job cost? Thanks

ouch...how much body work?? that seems like quite a bit for MAACO

did they R&I everything? or just tape it off? did they do a single stage paint, or two stage paint? Did you buy decals/stripes for it? Just curious...
