car craft mag/epa might ban paint 2 people??

car craft mag/epa might ban paint 2 people??

latest issue of car craft (pg. 23) said that the epa was thinking about no longer letting people buy auto refinishing paint,,,,,,just wondering if anyone has heard this,,,how 'bout you guys in CA,,,,(since they were the first to have the r12 refrigerant ban),,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,time to stock up?

Ya mean, like the paint in those small spray cans, for 5-7 bucks, with the actual paint code etc for certain cars ? Like for me, GM's teal or aqua, whatever people may call it.


IF they do .. it would be like WTF ??? So they're going to stop people from buying spray cans of "touch up" flat black (3 bucks a can) for the flat black beater trucks ?

I haven't read the article, but I'd bet they're talking about auto paint that is sprayed with a paint gun, not spray cans.

Well that would be bad enough anyway. If anyone's lobbying it, I would say it may very well be Maaco, Earl Schreib and other autopaint places. They would love the extra business.

I would venture a safe bet that some lobyists are proposing this on behalf of a coalition of bodyshops, and EPA.
