i guess depending on what seats they are you might or might not get brackets. im going to assume not. i installed the plastic jegs racing seats in my drag car. You can make a bracket for them to fit onto your stock seat tracks. but i didnt like how high it sat so i bought some stationary seat tracks that sat lower and installed them. but since the way the floor pan sets i mounted them horizontal instead of parallel with the car (if that makes sense) and got them the desired height and everything i was wanting. They barely fit with the center console because they are so wide. but this was because of my down bars coming off of my cage. Im not sure which race seats your referring to though. You might be getting a better pair. You should be able to use your mounting points of the original seatbelts for some of the mounting points, and if you have a cage in the car youll mount your shoulder belts to the harness bar that runs in between the hoop of the cage. Or if not ive seen harness bars for that application that you can put into the cars. but im not sure how well they hold up and i believe they are only legal in certain classes of racing.

these seem easier to mount?? http://www.gforce.com/products/harne...ragracing.html

the shoulder just goes through the holes and wraps around back of seat.

those stationary mounts, do they bolt right into the existing holes? or do you weld them to your floor pan? or can i drill new holes through my floor pan and bolt them in that way?

i drilled new holes. i used some new grade 8 bolts and got some huge washers so they wont pull out in case i did get in a wreck. i think i paid like $5 a set for them at a swap meet. its just like 2 L shaped pieces of metal with holes drilled so you can adjust your angle higher or lower. similiar to these but with the holes drilled different so you can adjust it.

Are you putting a full cage in your car, or are you just putting in racing seats with a harness?

Hey Prostreet 82,

I purchased the weld in 5 point harness for my 8-point roll bar.

1.) I drilled the center of a 3" x 3" think plate of steel x 4 and welded 1 plate over the transmission hump where the original seat belt mounted to (same for pass side).

2.) I had to tap out the bolt hole so a grade 8 1/2" bolt and large washer would fit.

3.) I did the same process for the center strap that gets mounted under the seat.

4.) I used the original bracket that was located next to the door sill, but I had to heat it up with a torch, angle it 45 degrees, tap the hole for a 1/2" grade 8 bolt otherwise the harness strap would have been twisted.

5.) I then had to drill a hole in the roll bar and use a grade 8 bolt and 2 large washeres to accept the shoulder straps.

I hope this helps.

Regarding your seats, you may want to ask about universal seat tracks if the seats aren't compatable for your application.

Corbeau sells rails compatible with our cars for thier seats but it does raise the seat up considerably so if you are kind of tall you may end up hitting your head on the roof or t-top.

Also, to mount the 5 point harness, I would recommend a cage or a harness bar installed.
DO NOT MOUNT THE REAR BELTS OF THE HARNESS TO THE FLOOR. Doing so and getting into a frontal impact can cause the belts to pull down on the seat (and you) and compact your spine.
