Anyone have rear & underneath pics of Jongbloed hood?
I'm looking into getting this hood but I have a few questions about it.
1/ Does the hood accept factory latch?
2/ Are those rear openings really slanted sideways or is it just the pic Im looking at. Also how did people cover them to keep leaves/animals out??
3/ What are those brown looking stripes on the underside of the hood?
Here is what ive been looking at for the underneath questions:

Thanks to anyone who can answer this!

I could asnwer for a genuine (and long discontinued) Jongbloed hood. I don't know how closely the new copy based on the Jongbloed matches the original. Since that is the only one currently available, I am assuming that is what you'd be purchasing. Therefore I'll defer to someone else that owns the copy to answer with pictures of theirs.

Hey,
1. Accepts factory latch, hinges and hydraulics.
2. No slant sidways, just ovals. I found a black firebox screen that looks like it belongs, attached them with epoxy.
3. That's the raw fiberglass. Can be painted over, I'm looking for a flexible mirror material to slide into them.

Awesome, thanks for the replies everyone. I will go with this hood since it gets me everything I wanted.
One more question, I havent seen anybody's fiberglass hoods isntalled with that protective foam stuff underneath. Is it not needed on glass hoods? Or just not wanted?
My car just went into the shop today, its getting soo much body work done to it that the cost is $6100 + whatever the hood comes out to be. So Im trying to make sure everything is right and perfect because I dont ever want to be doing this again.
Thanks again for the help

I didnt realize the end pieces had mounting points...they look like they attatched to the car and not the hatch, thanks for clearing that up
reborn92rs: the 'protective foam' that is on the stock hoods is nothing more than a sound deadener. Some people say it's a heat retardent etc etc, but in itself it's actually pretty flammable. It wont warp your hood or hurt it in any way by not having it on there
