front clip conversion
ok i've searched and searched for an answer and can't get anywhere!! is the front clip (minus the gfx) on 91-92 the same as the older camaro's i love my 91 rs but i want t-tops would my front end fit on an older say 86?

i know the front clip minus the areo style gfx are the same from 85 up, but i do believe it will also swap on to an older pre 85 car, someone correct me if im wrong

It will bolt up, but you might need fenders. If the 86 originally had ground effects, then it should bolt up fine. Otherwise you'll need new fenders. If you look closely at the fenders to a SC or berlinetta, they have a notch thing at the bottom front edge. You can, however put your entire 91 front clip on there, fenders and all.

You don't need new fenders. You just may have to drill a couple holes because the front chin studs might be in a different location.

so what i understand is that the 85-90 GFX front bumper is the same as the 91-92 bumper, just a different front spoiler bolted to it?
