R Bird 'n Maro Dash Pads Interchangable?

I know for birds, 82-84 and 85-92 were somewhat different (though I don't know what the differences are), but can a bird dashpad fit in a camaro & vice versa?

yes.. you can interchange them as long as you do not mind it not being as original. But they will work....

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

I already made this mistake. They are not interchangable. I tried putting a bird pad in a camaro a while back and it won't even fit flush on top of the dash let alone screw in.

I have done it twice.. it screwed right up.. but then.. i do have an early third gen... so maybe that was why.. i dunno.. i just know it worked for me.. but then depending on the dash it came from there are slight differences in even the camaro dashes... like the one from the 84 with the digital dash is not the same as the one in the other cars.. ect...

82 - 84 bird/camaro pads will interchange, and the 85-92 will not.

The Camaro dashpad is relieved for the center A/C vents, the Firebird had the vents in the dash next to the guage cluster. That is why they're physically different. Further the openings for the speakers are different between the two. Better to just get the right piece to begin with.

Late Camaro dashpads will work fine on an early Camaro. The design changed in 84 to give it a different look, but they're still interchangable.

I have a nice 91 firebird pad for sale... and I se all these ebay ads for ones for camaro or firebird... I'de hate to buy one for one car that didn't fit, so I don't want to sell one like that either. Thanks. to all...
