Corvette Style Gauges
Corvette Style Gauges
I was kicking around on streetfire this evening, and i saw what c5 guages look like- sweet.
Anyone know of any current overlays or gauges that look like them for third gens?
All I have is the vid. that shows them. Sorry mods... As soon as i can find a pic ill post that instead.

EDIT: What I'm talking about is how they are illuminated at night.

I've sen that before in a third gen. I believe that the person who did it used hyperwhite or blue LED's and just replaced all of the peanut bulbs in behind the cluster. I will try to find the picture of it and post it.

Bought myself a pair already just haven't had time to install them yet... Not sure how I'd make the needles glow either.

My Last Z
I had removed the clear plastic piece covering my gauges...
I then bought a set of 'projector lights' (Two independant bulbs, fully rotational - baby blue - running to one power source - the lighter). Plug the plug (has a switch to turn on and off) into the lighter component, run the wiring in behind the 'gauge plate', attached the projectors with two way tape on the underside of the 'gauge plate' and voila...
Turn off / dim your stock lighting to the dash and there you go.
I don't have that car anymore, but I did pull the dash and the gauges so I do still have the setup in-tact. I'll take a pic tonight to show, but the lights won't be on because of no power. But you'll get an idea of what I did. It really did look good. Especially since my Stereo and my cd changer control and dome lighting was baby blue.
Anyway, kind of a cheap do-it-yourselfer.
