if you dont mind cutting through the floor board to install them, then they're worth it. those are straight and therefore need floorboard mods to work. but it's just a 2inch wide strip that needs to be cut out however long it takes to line up. i think it was 2x14 on the car i saw them on.

why do you need space under the seats? i don't think anything fits under there worthwhile.

i realize theres instructions, i just wanted to see if anyone had a pic of how the interior of the floors looked after to ensure theres still enough room for the seats in the front, im not using back seats so that doesnt matter.

Are any of the other sub frame connectors better from summit? I had those same ones in my wish list and was about to purchase. I just wanted to konw if another set of them would be better, I am not to interested in cutting out my floo pans. I guess you can weld the floor pans to the sub frame connectors to the floor pans to seal them off, but I am not sure.

if you got a welder id say just save some cash and make your own those ones look very simple.

Theres plenty of other sfc out there from places other then Summit. Spohn, Alston, etc... Or you can just have a chassis shop make some for you. That's what I did. Cost about the same as buying them. Plus they fit alittle better since our cars tend to not stay in spec for long.

the summit ones are made by competition engineering, if you look at the seccond pic on that link you can see where these one might work with a little modification of course

i searched for weld-on SFC's for my car, and it came up wtih 3 different ones. http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...=egnsearch.asp

now...one pair says "not for convertibles", one says "without ladderbar crossmember" and one says "with ladderbar crossmember"

do i need the ladderbar cross member to see a great difference in handling? and is there a certain type i need to buy that will fit on my car seeing that it's a convertible?

ladder bar for drag cars and 4 link maybe and i think convertables come with factory installed frame connects so the aftermarket may interfere.

Spohn has them for convert. and theres seam to be really nice. I was doing a lot of reading on spohn today. I will be going with them. And a lot more from them, pretty much the entire bottem end of the car + a roll cage.
