MINT rolling chassis....how much $$$ is it worth

ok guys..i put this here becasue im not selling the rolling chassis..

the body is a 91 GTA with t-tops and 5 speed tranny...its bright red..in 91 there were 2026 (or so) GTA's built and 134 with the 5 speed and G92...so technically its a pretty "rare" body.....the motor thats in it now is a carbed LT4 but i dont think im going to be selling it with the body...

my question is, what is a mint 91 GTA rolling chassis worth?...its a little "beat up" right now but within in a few weeks its getting all fixed up..and door dings and dents will be fixed and it will be repainted factory color...

what would the body be worth mint by itself and with the motor thats in it....i have about 4000-4,500 in the motor

Thanks guys!
Rob

i wouldn't pay more than 1,000 or 1,500 TOPS for an excellent condition rolling chassis. Unless we're talking aftermarket suspension, fuel system, guages, etc are thrown in the deal. I'd save the money on repainting it because you'll never get that back out of it.

to me MINT would be no dings at all and no repair work done. otherwise its just rust free. but thats just my oppinion on the matter.

Like xplane said, It's not Mint once you fix it no matter how good a job you do.
It'll just be another repainted f-body. You'd be better off selling it the way it is so the potential buyer can see what he's gettin and plan his own paint job.

ok so my interpretation of MINT is a little "off"....with that out of the way what would a "Rust Free" body in perfect condition be worth?

and what about with the motor in it

You are trying to appeal to two completely different buyers.

If you are trying to market your car as being an extremely rare roller, you don't have a numbers matching, stock fuel injected engine in the car and that will turn most "collectors" off.

If you are trying to market your car as a modified performance car, leave the engine in the car! I think you are better off selling it as a package then trying to get more money by selling everything separate.

Anything is worth what someone is willing to pay for it, no value can be made? If you find a desperate person who is willing to give you $5k then it is worth $5k to him or her. If you find a person who offers you $500 then they know better. Good luck and I hope you find the right buyer

If I could get a mint rolling chassis for $250 I would take it in a heartbeat... of course where I live the yards charge an arm and a leg for parts and would never sell one that cheap. (We dont have pick-n-pulls.)

Where do you live?! I should hit up some of my local yards and see how much they want for a roller, might be cheaper & easier than finding one on here

most junkyards can and will not sell a car once they take the title. Atleast that's what I've experienced in New York.
