Why won't the dash pad screws come out?

Pretty simple question, and I feel dumb for asking it, but I need help... Three of the four dash pad screw up front, near where the defroster area and speaker grilles are, will not come out! The first just did it's thing, then none of the others will actually come out... I keep turning them, they stay put. I don't think they are stripped, because they are at least firm to turn...

Basically, I think you all will tell me that they are stripped.. I know they worked recently, because my pad was pulled los of times for speakers... Any thought?

PS: I'm not as dumb as this post makes me seem..

they're stripped, try shoving a flat bladed screwdriver under the phillips head and prying up while turning a phillips headed screwdriver and you should be able to slowly turn and pry them out.

you could also try tightening some vicegrips on the head and pulling as you turn them. I'd be affraid that I'd crack the dash by prying with a screwdriver

I had the same problem with remvoing the screws in a parts car I had. I ended up using a flatblade as mentioned above. Just take your time. If you start to get frusterated, just walk away man- walk away.

Once you know they are loose, use a magnet to pull them out enough to get your fingers on them.
