PMD seat bottom fix

Since I can't search old threads, I'm asking this here. I read an old post about someone that welded a support for the driver's side left seat bolster. The side that gets worn out from getting in and out all the time. The bolster on the seats I'll recovering is worn out, so I intend to weld a support to the seat frame out of round bar to help support the bolster. Any ideas on the best way to do it?

make the seat like stock and just becarefull when getting in and out.... if you go putting in metal that may not work right you may get into premature wear of the fabric or something...you should take the seat to a custom auto seat person to find out whats best....i mean if you replicate what gm did in the seat then who cares it should last for alteast 10-20 yrs im sure if you use good fabric?? use leather or something that slides good and you shouldnt catch and tear anything.
