bought another Camaro

I drove all the way to Bowling Green, Ohio a few weekends ago to pickup our newest Camaro.
1992 Z28 Heritage Edition with low mileage. Car is in excellent condition. I've always wanted another nice 3rd gen

This now makes Camaro #6 for us

no mods for this car, it will get tucked away with the others. We also have a 30th 1997 LT4 SS with 0069 miles on it

Thats awesome you got so many Camaros. After seeing your 88 Camaro I figgured you would have some insane plans but you know, good idea to keep this one tucked away with so little miles. One thing stands out to me though, its a Z28, it has TPI, but it also has a 110mph speedo. I've only seen Z28's come with a 140mph speedo. Have you looked into this?

it has the 305 tpi. Basically same set up as convertibles had.

Dont want to sound rude here, everyone has their own preferences, but what fun is it to just tuck a car away and never enjoy it? I think that sucks. Life is too short to hoard cars away in a garage and never enjoy them. I got my IROC with 32,000 miles on it and I drive the wheels off of it. I guess I just dont understand the point of having a car that you never enjoy.

Yea, I enjoy my 305, 85 IROC Camaro with 25,000 miles on it. I bought it from a woman in OHIO that stored the thing for years and never really enjoyed it, well I am telling you, I am DRIVING THE WHEELS off it and enjoying my nice ride! Life is too short!

Very nice find!

My z28 has the 110mph speedo, it depends on the engine it shipped with.

305 = 110mph, 350 = 145.

I think we've just been transported back to 1992! It looks like he just picked it up from a dealer.

It's your own personal preference what you do with your cars. I have the money and the space to buy what I like and it makes me happy. I'm not saving them for investment reasons either, I just love cars.

I still have the flamed 88 car. I purchased it brand new and I will never part with it. Most all of our cars have 5K or under on them. I enjoy looking at them and that's all that really matters.

Here's the rest of the fleet minus 1 Camaro "Yellin' SS" that is still under wraps......

04 GMC VHO

My wife also has an 06 Chevy Equinox.
That puts us at 11 cars total.

hmmm. guess that's cool and all that you have the money and space to buy cars just to look at. but they were meant to be driven when they were built by the manufacturer, and i hope that you atleast take them out and joy ride in them occasionally.

Fatal88, as you stated they are your cars to do what you want with them. It is not my place to criticize what you do with your property. I was merely making a statement about how I feel about hiding cars away. I must admit however I have been wanting to find another virgin low mile IROC to keep stock and nice. I already have one to hotrod, it would be nice to just have a stocker to put around in here and there, so I guess in the end I am not that much different...

For me it would just take too much self control to not get one of those hotrods out and start stackin miles on them.

He who dies with the most toys, wins! He's beatin me. Nice score.
The fewer that are driven, the more that will be around for future generations. Let em sit if you can.

Thats what I want to do one day. I already have the 87 IROC with the 350 along with some other rare options (also came from the Ohio plant which 87 was the last year it was in business). All it really needs is possibly plugs replaced, some new paint, ding removal, driver seat stitched, headliner replaced, and then a really good cleaning! All in all I'm looking at around 2-3 grand. But I want to go pickup a 88-92 camaro V6 and drive the heck out of it. You guys know stroke it out and all that other good aftermarket stuff!
