i have a black car with black interior and it gets really hot in the summer. i say go for it. if you like the color do it
here's a old pic i had on my computer. Don't know whose car it is.
Color changing on a car is a lot more work. If you like black, go for it.

Why not keep it red?
I have always wanted a red car, but I always end up with white, blue, or black cars!
Black is really hard to keep clean, if you always park outside.
Show small scratches easy.
But yes, black does look great clean.
My take,
George
