Hi,

Brand new to the site... Just picked up an 85 Camaro that I intend to restore for my daughter for her first car. Is there a listing here, or can anyone tell me what body parts are compatible with the 85? I'd like to add the ground effects and hood from a Z28 or an RS, but I'm so new to these, I don't know what years I can consider looking at for the parts. Any help is appreciated.

Fenders- all 82-92 camaro fenders interchange all you may need to do is drill holes for ground effects. firebird fenders will not work on a camaro.

doors- all 82-92 camaro and firebird doors interchange again drilling nessesary for ground effects.

hoods- all 82-92 camaro hoods will work firebird is different

hatches- all 82-92 camaro and firebird including the notchbacks interchange

t-tops- 82-84 hook and latch style 85-92 pin stlye

front and rear bumpers- all 82-92 camaro interchange

ground effects- all 82-92 camaro interchange just match them up to your bumpers. drilling may be required for mounting different ground effects

Actually there are about 4 different Bumper Covers:

82-84 WITHOUT Ground Effects
82-84 WITH Ground Effects
85-89(?) WITHOUT Ground Effects
85-92 WITH Ground Effects

The earlier 82-84 style were more squared off compared to the newer styles.

 

I realize this thread is old, and that this statement is very obvious to those with eyes, but, 91-92 groundefects have simulated scoops not featured previously. I may have read somewhere about bumper inter change, but all that I remember is that the berlinetta nose is different (and ugly imo)
