I know for a fact that getting rid of air bags is illegal. So I betchya it's illegal to get rid of shoulder belts. Plus, why would you want to?

I don't see why you would want to get rid of the shoulder belt. It's not like they look bad, or are unbearably uncomfortable in the first place. And wouldn't you feel bad if you got in an accident (which I hope never happens) and you or your passenger were seriously injured due to the lack of shoulder strap? I know I would.

Considering a lack of airbags is bag enough ( though legal in MANY states) i would recomend getting rid of seatbelts AND airbags only if your going with a racing harness. Because racing harnesses pretty much include all of the saftey features of an airbag and a seat belt, that would be the only reason why you should ever get rid of those features. So i would say, only if your putting in ATLEAST a 4-point harness

Your correct, they have to be mounted (i believe) perpendicular to the drivers shoulders for the 5 point.

Trust me i am not advocating a delete on the airbags and shoulder belts (though i have them myself) but i also have an 8-point roll bar with a 5-point harness and its completely street legal and almost NHRA certified. So if you plan on racing, don't be stupid and have a shoulder belt and run 12's. Thats all im saying.

i am totally redoing my rs. i made a custom flame steering wheel, knight rider style that is why i git rid of the airbag. airbag looked like doo doo was seperating in the back. i have to make a new headliner. the t-top that is in there is an after market t-top(Cant find seals either, factory one didnt work i bought for 139.00 and found out my t-top not factory) the clip for the headliner trim on the seatbelt (The one that covers the slit in headliner to go over retractor ) is broken. looks like you cant replace it without replacing the seat belt. Can anyone tell me how replace the clip so i dont have to buy new seat belts and any tips on making a new headliner. mine looks like a insulation type and is trashed. it's not a hard board like the new ones that you can purchse. i'm afraid new one wouldnt fit my t-top. thanx everyone for your input

Is there any roll cages that you can install and still have enough room to squeeze someone into the back?
