Front License Plate
Hey everyone - I got a fix-it awhile back for not having a front license plate on my 92 TA so I made a apparatus to hold my front license plate on my car.
I didn't want to drill holes into my bumper so I bolted metal strips to the underside of the car on existing chassis bolts and ran metal out from under the car and up in the front. It's really easy to attach and detach so you can take it off immediately after you get a front license ticket signed off.
Does anyone think that there would be an eBay 3rd generation owners market for that?

You definitely went the right way, that front plate screws up the front end for sure. I have heard of others making brackets like yours but don't know if anyone has marketed them, try searching ebay ?
What exactly did you mean a sign off or write off on the fron plate ticket, did you mean they will not fine you ? I am about to find out in Missouri on my 89 BIRD, F that plate. Un fortunately both of my birds came from states
requiring front plates and already have the holes for them.
I am looking into a small plug that painted body color won't look bad, just can't see replacing whole front end
or painting whole front end after filling the holes and have also heard of the bondo popping out of the holes ? Any ideas filling my holes on the bumper would be appreciated. I might be interested in buying one of your brackets. Again will they write off the ticket if you install a plate ? THX

Generally speaking if you get a fix it ticket, they require you to fix it within a certain time period. If you get it fixed and bring the ticket to the courts/police station, they'll waive it since you fixed the problem.
At least that's what I assume, I've never gotten one. I'd imagine you have to pay a small fine though

if you have a camaro, with the 'bowtie' or 'camaro' grill, you could always just keep the old license bracket and remove the grill to bolt the bracket to the original spots on the bumper to clear the ticket. after just take the bracket back off and put the grill back on. this is why i saved the old bracket when i put on the bowtie grill.
yeah i've been thinking about doing something like this for my trans am. One thing i'm worried about is the metal not being strong enough and you hit a big wind gust and the license plate smacks the front bumper.
I think there would be a market for this, if it was motorized so it could remotely hide the license plate with the flip of a switch.

Flexible bumper repair epoxy will fix the holes in the front. Most autostores carry it. Unfotunately the bumper is probably deformed from the plate.
