Bra for 91 firebird
I was looking to get a bra for my car and I went to Le Bra website and they list one for the '91 trans am (part #55356-01 )and another for "other models" that are "w/o aero package" (part #55355-01) I didn't think there was a difference in the front of trans ams and if the aero package means the new front bumper than my understanding was that all '91s had the "aero package" because it was a change in body style.
Anyway I was wondering if anyone has a Lebra for the 91'-92' bodystyle or knows which one will fit my car. Also if someone has it can you post pics?

I am guessing that the "aero package" might refer to the ground effects. TAs had them and regular Birds could, too, but Formulas never did. So, that is why there are two bras.
Hi!
Regular Firebirds and Formulas have a slighty different nose than the Firebirds with the Sport Appearance Package (aero package) and the Trans Ams/GTAs do.
So, the bras will need to be different.
Does your car have the aero package with the foglights, like the Trans Ams?
This should explain the difference to you.
As for the bra, I myself stear away from LaBra. They are kinda cheap.
I use the Colgan brand. They are the best by far! More $$$, but thicker and longer lasting. I lucked out awhile back, I found 2 of them on ebay for under 30 bucks each.
Good luck in your search,
George

Hey George, yeah, I got the "hole shot" on ya...but I forgot about the dfifferent fog/driving lights on the cars with the ground effects, so it's good that you added that.
NOS parts buying is dead for now. Spent a lot of money on getting married and buying a couple "spare" 9 bolt PBR posi rears...NOS will have to wait!

Oh well, there goes the cars/parts/working in the garage now!
I can see it now.....
Haaaaa!
Just kidding! Hopefully she lets you enjoy your hobbies!
So, now your collecting used parts, huh?
How many spare wheels do you have now?
I have a whole storage shed, 10x14 full with wheels! Now, they are starting to get stored in the garage! I sure would like a set of Ronals though.
Did you guys go on a honeymoon yet?
Have a good weekend,
George

ugh
please dont put a bra on your car. they beat on your paint in the wind, and collect dirt underneath them, and when you finnaly take it off, youll have a tan line where your paint faded everywhere but where your bra was. they honestly do more damage than good.

I know purpleZ already commented on the colour change in your paint due to bras, but the also rust your hood in the winter time. When I got my car, it had a bra on it, and when I took the bra off, I notice the hood was all rusted from salt and salty water that kicks up on your car in the winter. I'm just telling you from experience. If you want it get it, but I'd rather have some dull looking paint, than rust on my hood any day.

yea i agree with purple haze and those fellas. i take autobody at a community college and you couldnt imagine how many cars come in that had bras on them and when taken off look like butt. and even though your car is black you will still be able to easily see your paint is faded. also with those things after a while the will start to stretch a little so when you go down the highway it will flap against the underlying paint and cause chaos on the paint. you might not be able to notice the flapping but its their.
