Engine: 350 vortec'd tbi, 2.0L turbo
Transmission: 700r4, 5 spd
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt 2.77 open
what do you recommend for new paint?

my friend and i are almost ready to spray the base and clear on his car. what do you recommend to do for wetsanding and buffing out the paintjob?

Search the body and interior forum. It's been brought up 101 times. And take it to a pro to get it buffed so you don't burn through the fresh paint (a lot easier to do than you might think).

I use 2500 to wetsand with then hit it one last time with 3000, make sure you use alot of water, go real slow and check your work often. If you cut through the clear coat you have to sand down and reclear, then I use some 3M polish to hand polish, make sure you tape all your edges and stay off the corners. Then use a good foam pad and watch your speed and the edges. It takes a while but be very patiant and you can get a good job out of it. Good Luck.
