Anyone try reproduction seat covers?

Has anyone sprung for the reproduction seat covers offered by people such as Classic Industries? My seats are really starting to look like crap and I'd like to know if the repros are any good. If anyone has tried them I'd love to hear your opinion. In the catalog they look kind of loose and wrinkly - i.e. cheap. Do they really have the authentic stock look that the sellers claim?

If you can post a couple of pictures that would be great.

hey f1ls1, are those original striker bolts in your picture, or GM replacements? I noticed my replacement one was also painted black, but I'm not sure if they were ever painted on stock vehicles. Mine werent.

They are original. Some cars got the black ones and others had the plated ones.

I just have the base level interior, but if you click here: Yahoo! Photos - jimmyj1423's Photos - 1991 RS
there are some before/after pics and you can see what a difference new seat covers and carpet makes.
This all came from Classic Industries.

F1ls1, that is an AMAZING slide show. I used up most of my morning at work looking at it. Would you mind answering a couple of questions? (Don't worry I won't ask how much you spent)

1) How did you get the underside of the car looking so good?
2) Did you have to discharge the A/C in order to remove the complete system from the engine compartment, or can it be done without discharging the system?
3) With all the different things in the engine compartment - AC, brake system, etc. as well as the accessories, pullies, and support pieces, which of those pieces did you replace vs. cleaning and painting. Or did you sandblast, or powdercoat, or......
I'm really jealous of that engine compartment!

1.The underside was cleaned using a 50/50 mix of Super clean and water.(make sure you wear gloves when you use it.)

2. The A/C system did not work and the compressor had to be replaced. So I brought the new surpentine belt system from GM performance parts. It comes with a new A/C compressor, water pump,P/S pump, pulley's,belt, brakets and all the hardware for $650.00.
As for the rest of the parts 90% were cleaned and repainted.

3. The A/C system has to be discharged to remove it.

Thanks for the compliments.
