Paint/Dye interior plastic

I am in the middle of a red to grey/black interior swap. I have all the grey plastic peices needed, but now i want them black. It is impossible to find nice black plastic in my area. The upholstery shop is trying to get me to use 3M plastic etching cleaner and then this paint/Dye. Has ayone tryed this stuff? Im worried about it flaking, fading ect.

I've done a few panels in mine, and they look and feel factory. I've also done the armrest and once the paint was a couple days old, I hit them with a screwdriver handle, everything seems fine. Here's what I did:

1) Washed with Dawn and hard bristled brush (cuts through the grease)
2) Washed again to make sure
3) Rub off shine with steel wool (scotch brite is what I'm using)
4) Wipe down with SEM Plastic Prep (AutoBodyDEPOT Sites - Order Detail)
For the prep, you wipe down a small area and wipe it down with a clean cloth. It says this on the instructions.
5) Spray with flexible paint (AutoBodyDEPOT Sites - Order Detail)
I'm using 'Landau Black', the guys at the paint supply shop told me that this will match the stock black perfectly and I'm very happy with it.
