heres mine. you cant really make out the 5 speed patternt in the pic but its there. check out my cardomain theres a bunch more . when i got the ball it didnt fit my stock shifter i had to put a smaller threaded insert in to make it work. however on my billet plus shurst shifter it fit just fine. if you dont already have one a short shifter has got to be one of the best mods ive done thus far.

Where did you get the threaded insert? I am looking to do the opposite, getting the stock **** onto the hurst shifter.

what you need is a threaded sleave. something threaded on both the inside and outside so that you can put it over the shifter to make the shaft thicker. what i had to do was make the threaded part of the stock shifter thinner. i did this by finding a bolt that fit the ball, ground the head off, and then epoxied it into the shock shifter. it was on for about 5 months with no problems. i wish i could be of more help but i donno where to find threaded sleaves like you would need.

i really like those billet shifters...tell me something when you guys talk about the hurst shifters for manual and stuff are those just essentially short shifters with a different ball on top or can you buy just the shifter? Is a short shifter a short shifter no matter how you do it? Cause the pro-5.0 shifter is pretty pricey for one.

ive driven a pro 5.0 and i have a billet plus in my car. the hurst unit is just as good as the pro 5.0. maybe the pro 5.0 is slightly better but its not worth the extra money. it makes the shifts so much more crisp and presice. its noticably shorter between shifts and just feels so much better in your hand than the stock one. when i drive my friends cars with the stocker they feel so "sloppy" cause theres so much play in the stick. the hurst and the pro 5.0 both have adjustable stops so you cant bend ur shift forks too. i cut an inch outa my stick too, doesnt shorten the throw any but feels much better in your hand. i might end up cutting another inch out just to make it feel a lil better. definatly worth the 150 i laid down for it.
