Sata jet- its a brand of paint gun. If you go that route get the one with the air pressure gauge built in. Ive had real good luck with that one. Also believe it or not the Ingersol-Rand one from lowes is prety dang good too. Its around a 100 and it has a bigger cup than most other guns

Sata is definately the way to go but Devilbiss also makes good guns in that price range. Havent had any problem out of mine.

I use a Sharpe Platium HO HVLP, no problems with it either. At the time it was about 380 bucks, I think.

I would 1st ask you how often are you going to use this gun?
If you are going to use it regularly I would highly reccomend a Sata, Devilbiss, Sharp all are very nice & user friendly guns. If your not going to use the gun but once in awhile, I would almost reccomend a cheaper copy type gun. These are fairly descent for a hobbiest & less exspensive. I would say pick up the phone book & find the Automotive paint store in your area, and not a parts house like Oriely's, but someone that specializes in Auto Body Supplies. Drop by there & tell them what your going to use it for and what type of materials your wanting to spray with it. Allow them to show you your options & then decide how much you want to spend. Also discuss with them how much air pressure you will need to run the paint gun & make sure you have a large enough air compressor to handle a paint gun.
thats just my
