Floor Pan Removal
I have an 82 T/A I'm working on & the drivers side floor pan is trashed, since I don't have any extra spending money, new pans are out, so a buddy gave me an 84 junker Firebird with good floor pans, now the question is "How can I remove the floor pans from the 84 with out damaging them?" I think finding all the weld joints to cut would help. I tried this before, but couldn't get the pan out because we couldn't find all of the weld joints. Any help?

either get a plasma cutter or good bladesfor the saws-all. make sure to cut as much out as possible so that you have a little extra to weld to.

i got mine from a local camaro parts dealer. They look in great shape. I havent gotten them installed, I picked them up about a week and a half ago. The welder is coming monday to see what he needs to do. They look identical to the ones I have in my car right now, so I am guessing they will work fine! I didnt pay for shipping so idk how much it will be, if you want I can get you his number. He can get almost anything i guess.

wow! i feel alot better about the rear QP rust out issue in my 82 now
dang.,.....
peanuts compared to entire floors
good job
evne on a budget you can find a small time local guy with a mig welder to weld in stuff for ya for cheap
for real
ask around
you would be surprised.
plus anyways you shoudl always have a plan figure out before starting something like this, which is why my 82 still sits stored away, until i am good and ready and have everything i need saved up
good luck
