Having problems with mounting spoiler. PLEASE HELP!

I have an 87 Camaro that origionally had a 3 piece spoiler and I am putting a high rise spolier onto it. The problem I am having is how far does the spoiler sit from the back edge of the hatch? I put it at 1/2 inch and drilled a small hole with the guide thingy that came with it and it seems like the head of the srew would hit that little black metal strip that has 2 screw holding it on at the ends of the hatch. Does anyone know how to put the spoiler on? Or could someone get me a picture of where the bolt go through the hatch?

Thanks.

That would be great. I have been all over town looking for a camaro with a high rise spoiler so I could see how it mounts up.
